Response to article "Hurricane Maria and relief efforts in Puerto Rico"

In the Los Angeles Times article, "Trump praises hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico amid criticism of a slow response," by Molly Hennessy-Fiske and Laura King.  Trump visits Puerto Rico on a reassurance mission in an attempt to bring comfort to all Puerto Rico residents that he is dedicated to their recovery process after hurricane Irma devastates the island.  Trumps attempt to show his concern for Puerto Rico fall short. Instead, Trump “so graciously” complains and states “I hate to tell you, Puerto Rico, but you through our budget a little out of whack!,” and even tosses around jokes when others are struggling to survive and cope.  Then Trump’s displays an attempt to show his concern for the Island residence as he propels rolls of paper towels into the crowd while voicing “The job that’s been done here is nothing short of a miracle, he said.  Now mind you, millions in Puerto Rico are still without power, food, and water.  How big of a miracle was truly shown to help those in need on the Island? Lastly, Trump compares Hurricane Katrina death toll to Puerto Rico's, by mentioning “Sixteen people certified versus in the thousands,” life lost.  As if the number of precious life that ended in the wake of Katrina was by far more deserving of aid than the sixteen life’s lost in Puerto Rico, because not so many had died.

To summarize Natalie Hyden blog, "Hurricane Maria and relief efforts in Puerto Rico"Trump after being called out by Puerto Rico,  tried to come in and do damage control while acting as if he was a captain of a lifeboat.  Let me "save you and show the face" that I am concerned about the relief efforts in Puerto Rico.  Natalie blog post covers lives lost in Puerto Rico, Trump's responses, and how even when he believes that he is helping, he hurls insulting words in the direction of citizens of Puerto Rico who are crying out for help.  Personally, President Trump needs to put politics aside and focus on what his mission should be, Puerto Rico residences "need more help."  I agree with Natalie “Trump is whack.”  You summarized well while quoting Trumps targeted words to Puerto Rico and feel in your writing response what most Puerto Rico residence felt when Trump started to be the “great” I talk out the side of my mouth President,”  that he is.  The only suggestion that I would offer is to emphasize a little more on the needs Puerto Rico face and a list of areas they are struggling to come back from.  For example, clearing of roads, no electric, and how they genuinely need more help.  I would add at the end of the day Puerto Rico is part of the United States, and money he is shelling out would go right back into the hands of the United States.  Also, it boils down to morals, life, and what the United States stands for.  We do not pick an choose who we help and do not want to help when our country is hurting; we are supposed to be there to pick each other up and rebuild.  No one can control Mother Nature, and Puerto Rico people had nothing personally to do with blowing Trump's budget if anything Mother Nature blew Trump's budget.
